This serif shows a crisp, high-contrast construction with fine hairlines and sharper, darker main strokes. Serifs are bracketed and relatively delicate, with a traditional text rhythm and carefully tapered terminals. Proportions feel bookish and measured: capitals are stately with ample interior space, while the lowercase keeps a steady, readable texture and open counters. The italic is not shown, but the roman features subtle calligraphic modulation, a two-storey “a,” a compact, looped “g,” and numerals that read as oldstyle figures with varied heights and ascenders/descenders.

Well suited to continuous reading in books and editorial design where a traditional serif voice is desired. It also performs nicely for refined headings, pull quotes, and formal materials such as programs or invitations where its high-contrast detail can be appreciated.

The overall tone is cultured and composed, leaning toward classic publishing aesthetics. It conveys formality without feeling ornamental, producing a quiet authority suited to long-form reading and thoughtful editorial layouts.

The design intention appears to be a conventional, publication-oriented serif that balances classical forms with a clean, contemporary finish. Its restrained detailing and even rhythm suggest it was drawn to deliver a familiar, trustworthy reading experience while maintaining an elegant presence in larger sizes.

Capitals present clean, classical silhouettes (notably the round forms in C/O/Q) paired with slender joining strokes, which gives the face a polished, engraved-like finish at display sizes. At smaller sizes, the thin horizontals and hairlines suggest it will benefit from comfortable sizes and spacing to preserve clarity.
