A robust serif with strongly modeled strokes and pronounced thick–thin transitions. The letterforms are wide and steady, with bracketed serifs and rounded, slightly bulbous terminals that give the shapes a sculpted, ink-trap-free solidity. Counters are relatively compact and apertures tend to be tight, producing a dense, dark page color, especially in the lowercase. Curves are smooth and controlled, and the numerals and capitals share the same weighty, formal construction, with a single-story “a” and a distinctive “g” featuring a rounded ear and generous lower bowl.

Best suited to headlines, deck copy, and prominent editorial typography where its weight, contrast, and sculpted serifs can be appreciated. It also fits book covers and branding that aim for a classic, authoritative impression, and can work in short text passages when set with enough size and leading to maintain clarity.

The overall tone feels editorial and established—confident, serious, and slightly theatrical due to the dramatic stroke contrast and weight. It reads as classic and bookish rather than trendy, with a traditional voice suited to institutional or literary contexts.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif voice with added impact—combining classical proportions and bracketed serifs with a heavier, more display-ready presence. Its wide stance and emphatic terminals suggest a goal of producing strong visual authority while retaining familiar text-serif conventions.

At larger sizes the crisp contrast and pronounced terminals become a defining personality feature; at smaller sizes the dense texture and tight openings can feel heavy, suggesting it benefits from comfortable sizing and generous line spacing. The rhythm is consistent across the alphabet, with a cohesive set of serif shapes and terminal treatments that reinforce a unified, conventional text-serif character.
