This serif design shows a pronounced thick–thin rhythm with hairline horizontals and crisp, tapered terminals. Serifs are bracketed and relatively delicate, giving stems a carved, engraved feel while maintaining steady vertical stress across the set. Proportions are on the compact side with tall capitals and a measured x-height; counters are open and the curves are smoothly drawn, especially in O/Q and the bowls of b/p. The lowercase features a two‑storey a and g, a slender f with a small crossbar, and a long-tailed j and y that add elegant movement in text. Numerals appear as oldstyle figures with ascenders and descenders, matching the text color and rhythm of the lowercase.

It performs well in long-form typography such as books, essays, and editorial pages where a traditional serif voice is desired. The refined detailing also suits magazine features, institutional reports, and classic brand collateral when set with comfortable leading and sizes that preserve the thin strokes.

The overall tone is poised and traditional, projecting a bookish, cultured voice suited to serious reading. Its fine detailing and controlled contrast feel polished and authoritative, with a slightly calligraphic elegance that reads as classic rather than decorative.

The design intention appears to be a conventional text serif with an elevated, editorial finish—balancing readability with a distinctly elegant contrast and delicate serifs to create a sophisticated reading texture.

Spacing appears relatively tight, producing a smooth, continuous text texture; the stronger verticals and light hairlines create a lively shimmer at larger sizes. Several capitals (notably A, W, and V) have sharp apexes and slender diagonals that emphasize precision and refinement.
