This serif shows pronounced thick–thin modulation with crisp, tapered joins and clearly bracketed serifs. Uppercase forms are sturdy and slightly condensed in feel, with sharp apexes (notably in A and W) and confident, vertical stress. The lowercase has a traditional text rhythm: compact bowls, firm vertical stems, and a relatively modest x-height, with lively details such as a two-storey g, a looped descender on y, and a curved, calligraphic tail on j. Numerals and punctuation carry the same high-contrast construction, with rounded terminals and occasional ball-like endings that add a subtle flourish without breaking the overall text-serif discipline.

Well-suited to long-form editorial settings such as books and magazines where a classic serif voice is desired. The strong contrast and crisp details also make it effective for display use—headlines, pull quotes, and refined branding—especially when set at sizes large enough to preserve the delicate hairlines.

The overall tone is classic and editorial, evoking printed literature and traditional publishing. Its strong contrast and crisp finishing lend it a formal, slightly dramatic presence, while the small calligraphic touches keep it from feeling overly austere.

The design appears intended as a conventional, print-leaning text serif with elevated contrast and carefully finished terminals, balancing readability with an elegant, literary tone. It aims to provide a familiar typographic foundation while offering enough sharpness and flourish to stand out in editorial and headline contexts.

Counters are fairly tight and the contrast pushes hairlines thin, giving the face a refined but assertive color on the page. Serifs are not slabby; instead they are tapered and bracketed, producing a smooth, continuous flow along text lines. The sample text suggests clear word shapes and a steady baseline, with emphasis especially effective in larger sizes.
