A heavy, wide serif with pronounced wedge-like terminals and subtly bracketed serifs that create a carved, faceted impression. Strokes are robust and fairly even, with crisp joins and small notches/ink-trap-like cut-ins at a number of corners, helping counters stay open at weight. The lowercase shows a tall x-height with compact ascenders and descenders, while the uppercase is broad and steady, producing a strong horizontal footprint and dense texture. Numerals follow the same sturdy construction, with clear bowls and confident terminals for consistent color across mixed copy.

Well-suited to headlines and deck copy where its width and weight can deliver impact without resorting to extreme contrast. It can also work for editorial branding, book covers, and packaging that benefits from a traditional serif with a bold, structured texture. In continuous text it will feel prominent and space-hungry, making it best for larger sizes or layouts with generous measure control.

The overall tone feels editorial and traditional, with a confident, institutional voice. Its broad proportions and chiseled details add a slightly vintage, display-leaning seriousness while remaining composed enough for structured text settings.

The design appears intended to provide a classic serif voice with extra heft and width for strong typographic presence. The wedge terminals and small corner cut-ins suggest an aim toward durability and legibility at large sizes while maintaining a refined, conventional serif character.

The forms lean on strong horizontals and triangular/wedge cues that give words a rhythmic, engraved quality. In heavier sizes the internal notches and open apertures help preserve clarity, though the wide set creates a deliberately expansive line length and presence.
