A sculpted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharply tapered joins that create a chiseled, ink-trap-like crispness at many terminals. Serifs are bracketed and often flare into pointed wedges, while several lowercase forms show rounded, teardrop and ball-like terminals that add softness against the otherwise angular construction. Counters are relatively compact and the overall texture is dense, with a lively rhythm created by alternating blunt verticals and razor-thin connecting strokes. Numerals and capitals follow the same high-contrast logic, producing a strong, poster-ready silhouette with clear letterform differentiation.

Best suited to headlines, magazine and book titling, and branding moments where a strong serif voice is needed. It can work for short bursts of text such as pull quotes or deck copy, but its dense color and sharp contrast make it most compelling in larger sizes and in layouts that can give the shapes room to breathe.

The tone is bold and theatrical, combining classic editorial authority with a slightly flamboyant, display-oriented energy. It feels assertive and stylish rather than quiet or utilitarian, with an old-world sophistication that reads as premium and attention-grabbing.

The design appears intended to deliver a contemporary take on a classic, high-contrast serif: dramatic in silhouette, refined in detail, and optimized for impactful display typography while retaining familiar, readable structures.

In running text, the heavy stems and sharp serifs create a dark color on the page, while the distinctive terminals and varying internal shapes help maintain character separation. The design’s detailing is most evident at larger sizes, where the fine hairlines and tapered cuts become a key part of the personality.
