A classic serif with bracketed serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation. The forms show a slightly calligraphic, oldstyle influence: round letters have a gently diagonal stress, curves transition smoothly into stems, and terminals often finish with small teardrop/ball-like details (notably in lowercase and the question mark). Proportions are balanced with moderate ascenders/descenders and a steady rhythm in text, while capitals feel stately and open. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with clear, elegantly tapered joins and a traditional, print-oriented silhouette.

Well-suited to long-form reading in books and editorial layouts where high contrast and traditional serif detailing add authority and polish. It also performs well for magazine typography, institutional communication, and literary titling where a classic, print-native voice is desired.

The overall tone is traditional and cultivated, evoking book typography, academic publishing, and established editorial design. It reads as confident and formal without feeling rigid, with enough warmth in the shaping to suggest heritage and craftsmanship rather than pure austerity.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast text serif that balances elegance with readability. Its oldstyle-leaning stress, bracketed serifs, and refined terminals suggest a goal of producing a trustworthy, literary tone for continuous text while still looking distinguished at display sizes.

Serifs are crisp and well-defined, with noticeable bracketing that softens joins into the main strokes. The lowercase shows readable, conventional construction (double-storey a and g) and the italic-like liveliness comes from stress and terminal treatment rather than actual slant, helping paragraphs maintain an even, composed color.
