This serif italic shows pronounced thick–thin modulation with crisp, tapering wedge serifs and bracketed joins. The italics are moderately slanted with a fluid, calligraphic rhythm rather than a rigid mechanical construction, and the stroke endings often sharpen into pointed terminals. Capitals are stately and open, with clear contrast and slightly flared strokes, while lowercase forms keep a balanced x-height and compact, energetic curves. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with elegant shapes and fine hairlines that read best when given adequate size and print-like conditions.

Well-suited to book and magazine typography, especially for italic emphasis, quotations, intros, and captions where a classic serif voice is desired. It can also serve elegantly in formal print materials such as programs and invitations, and in editorial layouts where high-contrast italics add hierarchy and tone.

The overall tone is classic and literary, with a refined, editorial polish. Its lively italic movement adds sophistication and a touch of traditional formality, evoking book typography and cultivated print design.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif italic with a strong calligraphic influence, aiming for a traditional reading experience and an elevated, print-oriented finish. It prioritizes elegance and clear typographic color over utilitarian neutrality.

Spacing appears tuned for continuous text, with an even baseline rhythm and consistent contrast across letters and figures. The italic character is expressive but controlled, making it suitable for longer runs while still offering noticeable personality in headings and pull quotes.
