This typeface is a flared serif with gently expanding stroke endings and small, subtly bracketed serifs that read as softened terminals rather than sharp, rigid feet. Strokes show a calm modulation with slightly tapered joins, giving curves and diagonals a drawn, humanist feel. Proportions are relatively compact in the lowercase with a modest x-height and clear ascender/descender reach, while capitals are broad and stately with generous internal space. Counters are open and round (notably in C, O, Q, and e), and the overall rhythm is even, with smooth curves and understated detailing that keeps text color consistent at reading sizes.

It fits well in book interiors, essays, and editorial layouts where a refined serif texture is needed without looking overly ornate. The clear capitals and open forms also make it appropriate for headings, pull quotes, and understated branding applications that benefit from a classic, human tone.

The tone is traditional and literary, with a quiet elegance that feels suited to long-form reading and cultured editorial settings. Its softened, flaring endings add warmth and approachability compared with sharper oldstyle faces, while still maintaining a composed, formal presence.

The design appears intended to balance traditional serif conventions with gentle flaring and subtle modulation to produce a warm, readable text face that still carries enough character for display moments.

The numerals appear oldstyle-influenced in feel, with curved strokes and varied silhouettes that blend naturally into text. The lowercase shows lively, slightly calligraphic construction (especially in a, g, and y), supporting a comfortable, continuous texture in paragraphs.
