A very heavy slab-serif with strong vertical stress and pronounced thick–thin contrast for its weight. Serifs are broad and mostly squared off, with subtle bracketing that helps joins feel carved rather than purely mechanical. Curves are full and compact, counters are moderately tight, and overall spacing reads sturdy and emphatic. The lowercase shows a traditional, print-oriented build with a two-storey a and g and compact shoulders, while the numerals are dense and high-impact with clear, rectangular footing on stems.

Best suited for large-scale typography such as headlines, posters, pull quotes, and impactful titling where its strong slabs and dense color can lead. It can also work well for sports or collegiate-style branding, packaging, and any application needing a confident, traditional-meets-bold voice.

The tone is bold, authoritative, and headline-forward, combining a classic newspaper/book serif sensibility with a more muscular, poster-like presence. It conveys confidence and heritage cues (collegiate/editorial) without feeling delicate or understated.

The design appears intended as a high-impact display slab serif that merges classic serif construction with blocky, squared slabs for maximum presence. Its proportions and compact counters prioritize punchy readability and a commanding texture in short-to-medium lines.

At text sizes it reads strongly and dark, with small interior counters and weighty horizontals creating a tight typographic color. The square-ended slabs and firm terminals give it a sign-painting/wood-type echo, while the slightly moderated bracketing keeps it from looking purely geometric.
