A high-contrast serif with crisp, bracketed serifs and a distinctly traditional text-face structure. Strokes show strong thick–thin modulation with relatively thin hairlines, while main stems remain sturdy, producing a clear vertical rhythm. Capitals are broad and composed, with pointed apexes on A and W and a compact, slightly calligraphic Q tail. Lowercase forms are compact and legible, featuring a two-storey a and g, pronounced ball terminals (notably on j), and a fairly narrow, sturdy n/m construction that keeps texture even in paragraph settings. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic with clean, open counters and understated detailing.

Well-suited to long-form reading environments such as books, essays, and editorial layouts where a traditional serif texture is desired. It also performs convincingly for display-sized headlines, pull quotes, and formal branding applications that benefit from a classic, high-contrast voice.

The overall tone is classic and literary, evoking familiar book and newspaper typography. Its sharp contrast and refined serifs lend an authoritative, polished voice suited to serious or traditional contexts rather than playful or informal ones.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast text serif that balances elegance with readability, aiming for familiar proportions and dependable paragraph rhythm while retaining crisp, refined detailing for editorial and display use.

The italic is not shown; the sample demonstrates a steady text color at larger sizes with strong letter differentiation (e.g., I/J and O/Q). The punctuation and ampersand appear conventional and sturdy, matching the text-centric design.
