A crisp serif text face with bracketed serifs, tapered stems, and clear diagonal stress that produces lively thick–thin modulation. Capitals are sturdy and well-proportioned with slightly flared, wedge-like finishing and tight, controlled curves (notably in C, G, and S). Lowercase forms read traditional and text-oriented, with a compact, compacted rhythm, a two-storey g, and a relatively narrow, pointed t and f; joins and apertures stay clean without becoming overly delicate. Figures appear as oldstyle (with ascenders and descenders), adding a bookish texture in running text while retaining strong contrast and sharp terminals at display sizes.

Well-suited to book typography, long-form editorial layouts, and magazine text where a classical serif texture is desired. It also performs convincingly for headlines, pull quotes, and titling that benefit from crisp contrast and traditional letterforms.

The overall tone feels traditional and editorial, with a distinctly literary, book-page sensibility. Its high-contrast, crisply cut details convey formality and authority, while the subtly calligraphic stress keeps the texture warm rather than mechanical.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast serif for comfortable reading and familiar typographic tone, combining classic proportions with sharp, refined finishing for editorial versatility from text to display.

At larger sizes the font’s sharp finishing and contrast become a defining character, especially in the numerals and in curved letters like S and G. In paragraph settings, the consistent serif rhythm and controlled apertures support an even, classical color across lines.
