A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharply cut, bracketed serifs. Uppercase forms are sturdy and classical, with crisp triangular joins and a controlled, vertical stress; the round letters (C, O, Q) show elegant hairlines against weighty stems. Lowercase combines compact, bookish shapes with distinctive ball terminals (notably on f) and teardrop-like details, giving texture without becoming ornate. Numerals are similarly contrasty and sculpted, with strong verticals and fine hairline connections that read clearly at display sizes.

Well suited to editorial design—magazine headlines, book titles, and pull quotes—where high contrast and firm serifs can carry a page. It can also serve for formal branding and packaging when a classic, authoritative serif voice is desired, and for short-to-medium reading passages where crispness and tradition are prioritized.

The overall tone is traditional and confident, evoking established publishing and formal print culture. Its dramatic contrast and crisp finishing add a slightly theatrical, premium feel suitable for statements and headlines while still reading as conventional and familiar.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif with elevated contrast for impact, balancing familiar proportions with refined finishing and a few characterful terminal details to keep longer settings visually engaging.

Stroke endings are consistently sharp and clean, with narrow hairlines that create a lively shimmer in dense text. Spacing and sidebearings appear comfortably set for paragraph composition, while the heavy main strokes make the face feel weighty and emphatic in larger settings.
