This serif has a sharply contrasted construction with heavy main stems and extremely thin hairlines. Serifs are crisp and finely cut, tending toward wedge-like, pointed terminals rather than broad slabs, giving the outlines a clean, engraved feel. Curves are taut and controlled, with vertical stress visible in bowls and rounds, and the overall rhythm is upright and steady. Proportions lean broad in many capitals and figures, while individual glyph widths vary noticeably, producing a lively, text-like spacing and cadence rather than a strictly uniform set.

It performs best in display and larger text settings such as magazine titles, book covers, pull quotes, posters, and refined brand marks where its hairlines can stay intact. In dense, small-size body copy or low-resolution environments, the very thin strokes may require careful sizing and output conditions to preserve clarity.

The tone is elegant and authoritative, with a distinctly editorial drama created by the strong thick–thin play. It reads as classic and cultured, projecting seriousness and a premium, print-minded sensibility.

The design appears intended to deliver a modernized classic serif voice: crisp, high-contrast letterforms with a disciplined upright posture and a dramatic, premium texture suited to editorial and cultural applications.

Uppercase forms show pronounced, clean serifs and thin cross-strokes, while lowercase maintains a sturdy baseline presence with delicate joins and fine details. The numerals appear similarly high-contrast and open, matching the typographic color of the letters at display sizes.
