A high-contrast serif with distinctly flared, wedge-like stroke endings that broaden into triangular terminals rather than forming flat slabs. Stems are sturdy and vertical, while joins and curves show sharp tapering and pointed cut-ins that give counters a chiseled, faceted feel. The uppercase set is wide and commanding with crisp serifs and strong thick–thin transitions; diagonals and arms end in pronounced wedges. Lowercase forms are compact and weighty, with a single-storey a and g, a teardrop-like ear on g, and small, angled terminals that create an energetic, slightly calligraphic rhythm. Numerals are similarly bold and sculptural, with sharp apexes and flared feet that keep them visually consistent with the letterforms.

Best suited to display typography such as headlines, poster titles, book covers, and magazine mastheads where its sculpted contrast and wedge terminals can be appreciated. It can also support branding and packaging that needs a classic, authoritative voice, especially when used in short phrases or all-caps settings.

The overall tone is formal and emphatic, with a theatrical, old-world gravitas. Its carved, wedge-terminal detailing reads as ceremonial and classic, lending a sense of authority and drama to short text.

The design appears intended to modernize a classical serif voice through exaggerated flaring and sharp, chiseled detailing, prioritizing visual impact and character over neutrality. Its consistent wedge-terminal language across letters and figures suggests a deliberate aim for a cohesive, engraved-like presence in display applications.

The strong modulation and flared terminals create dense word shapes and a pronounced texture, especially in all-caps settings. Pointed joins and narrow apertures add bite, which can heighten impact in display sizes while feeling visually busy at smaller sizes.
