A heavy, compact slab-serif with strongly bracketed serifs and a sturdy, sculpted build. Strokes show clear but not delicate modulation, with pronounced thick stems and slightly tapered joins that create an ink-trap-like bite in tight corners. Counters are relatively small and shapes are robust, giving the face a dense texture and strong vertical rhythm. The lowercase is workmanlike and weighty, with rounded terminals on several forms and a single-storey ‘g’ that reinforces the blunt, poster-friendly construction; numerals are similarly bold and stable.

Best suited to headlines, posters, labels, and branding that need immediate impact and a classic slab-serif presence. It also works well for signage and sports/collegiate-style identities where bold, dependable letterforms are desirable; for longer passages it is most comfortable at larger sizes with ample spacing.

The overall tone feels confident and old-school, with a familiar sign-painting and collegiate energy. Its mass and bracketed slabs suggest tradition and authority, while the rounded joins keep it approachable rather than severe.

The design appears intended to deliver a strong, traditional slab-serif voice with high legibility at display sizes, combining robust proportions with softened, bracketed detailing to keep the texture lively and readable.

In text, the bold color builds quickly, so spacing and line length benefit from generous leading and moderate measures. The design’s sturdy slabs and tight apertures favor display sizes where the interior shapes can open up and the bracketed details read clearly.
