A slanted serif with pronounced stroke contrast and a crisp, engraved-like finish. Serifs are bracketed and tapering, with wedge-like terminals on many strokes, giving the forms a sharp, authoritative silhouette. Capitals feel broad and steady with relatively generous spacing, while the lowercase shows more calligraphic movement, including teardrop-like terminals and lively joins. Numerals and punctuation follow the same contrasty rhythm, producing strong dark–light patterning in text.

Well-suited to magazine/editorial headlines, book-cover typography, and branding that needs a classic, authoritative voice. It can also work for pull quotes and subheads where a strong italic presence is desired. For long passages, it will be most comfortable at moderate sizes with sufficient leading to accommodate the contrast and sharp terminals.

The overall tone is classic and editorial, with a sense of tradition and formality. Its strong contrast and decisive italic angle add drama and urgency, while the serif detailing keeps it anchored in bookish, institutional typography. The texture reads confident and polished rather than casual.

The design appears intended as a strong, traditional italic serif with elevated contrast for impactful reading and display. It prioritizes a refined, historic serif feel while keeping letterforms sturdy and legible, aiming to deliver a confident, editorial texture in use.

In the sample text, the slant and contrast create a prominent rhythm, especially in rounded letters and the diagonals of V/W/X. The shapes hold up well at display sizes where the tapered serifs and terminals are clearly visible, and the broad capitals contribute to an imposing headline presence.
