A serif face with compact proportions and moderate stroke modulation, set on an upright axis. Strokes show deliberate irregularity and a slightly rough, inked texture, with small nicks and uneven edges that mimic worn printing or hand-inked impressions. Serifs are bracketed and tapered rather than blocky, and terminals often end in pointed or subtly flared shapes. The overall rhythm is lively: counters vary slightly, verticals aren’t perfectly uniform, and curves carry a gently handmade wobble that remains consistent across uppercase, lowercase, and numerals.

Best suited to display and short-text contexts where its textured, vintage personality can read clearly—such as book and album covers, editorial headlines, posters, labels, and heritage-leaning branding. It can work for pull quotes or brief passages when set with generous size and line spacing, especially in print-oriented compositions.

The font conveys an antique, bookish tone with a tactile, crafted feel. Its distressed texture reads as archival and print-like, suggesting older letterpress, engraved, or storybook materials rather than sleek contemporary typography. The irregular detailing adds warmth and personality, giving text a slightly theatrical, rustic character.

The design appears intended to blend traditional old-style serif proportions with a deliberately distressed, inked finish, creating the impression of age and physical printing. Its goal is less about neutrality and more about adding narrative atmosphere and a handmade, archival presence to typography.

In the sample text, the roughened interior shading and edge wear become more noticeable at display sizes, where the texture functions as a defining stylistic feature. At smaller sizes, the same detail may visually thicken joins and narrow counters, so careful size and spacing choices help preserve clarity. Numerals and capitals carry the same weathered construction, keeping the set cohesive for headings and short passages.
