A crisp serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and bracketed serifs that taper to sharp terminals. The capitals are stately and evenly proportioned, with relatively narrow joins and smooth curves; the C/G/O family reads round and controlled, while diagonals (V/W/X) stay clean and pointed. Lowercase forms show a compact, traditional construction with a two-storey a, a small-bowl g with a clear ear, and a sturdy, bracketed h/m/n rhythm. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, mixing straight spines with finely tapered curves for a composed, editorial texture.

Well suited to long-form reading environments such as books, journals, and magazine features where a conventional serif voice is desired. It also fits formal print applications—programs, invitations, and institutional materials—where sharp serifs and high contrast add a sense of tradition and credibility.

The overall tone is classic and bookish, suggesting authority and polish rather than friendliness or play. High contrast and sharp finishing details give it a formal, editorial feel suited to serious content and traditional branding.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional text-seriffed reading experience with elevated contrast and carefully finished terminals, balancing refinement with familiar proportions for dependable typography in editorial and formal contexts.

At larger sizes the refined stroke contrast and pointed serifs become a key stylistic feature; in denser settings the design maintains a disciplined, even color with distinct lettershapes and clear counters. The italic is not shown; the displayed style reads as a restrained, upright roman intended for continuous reading.
