A strong, high-contrast serif with sculpted, wedge-like serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Stems are robust while hairlines stay crisp, with bracketed transitions that read engraved rather than mechanical. Curves are full and rounded (notably in O/C/G and the bowls of b/d/p/q), and several joins show sharp, sheared cuts that add a carved, faceted feel. Lowercase forms maintain a conventional structure with a moderate x-height, compact apertures, and distinct terminals; the g is single-storey and the y has a distinctive angled, hooked descender. Numerals are weighty and display-oriented, with strong vertical stress and sharp finishing details.

This font is well suited to headlines, deck copy, and prominent editorial typography where strong contrast and sturdy serifs can carry the page. It can work for book or album covers, cultural posters, and branding systems that want a classic, established voice with modern sharpness. For long-form text, it will be most comfortable at larger reading sizes or in spacious layouts due to its heavy overall color.

The overall tone is traditional and authoritative, with a dramatic, editorial punch. It evokes classic print typography—confident, formal, and slightly theatrical—suited to messaging that wants to feel established and high-impact.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif foundation with heightened contrast and carved finishing details, creating a premium, print-forward look. It balances recognizable text-serif construction with attention-grabbing terminals and serifs for display impact.

In the sample text, the dense color and tight counters make it read best at larger sizes where the refined hairlines and terminal cuts can be appreciated. The italic is not shown; all examples present an upright stance with consistent, deliberate contrast across uppercase, lowercase, and figures.
