A high-contrast serif with broad, weighty main strokes and very thin hairlines, creating a strongly sculpted black-and-white rhythm. Serifs are finely tapered and mostly bracketed, with sharp, chiseled terminals that read crisply at large sizes. Proportions are expansive and generously set, with wide uppercase forms and rounded bowls that stay open despite the heavy weight. Lowercase shows a traditional, text-serif structure with a moderate x-height, distinct ball terminals in places, and compact joins that emphasize the thick–thin modulation.

Best suited for headline and display typography where its contrast and width can be appreciated—magazine titles, book covers, posters, and premium branding. It can work for short editorial subheads and pull quotes, but extended small-size reading may require generous spacing to avoid hairlines and joins feeling crowded.

The overall tone is classic and editorial, with a confident, declarative voice. Its dramatic contrast and wide stance add a sense of ceremony and gravitas, making text feel formal and polished rather than casual.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif reading of authority with heightened contrast and width for impact. It balances familiar, conventional letterforms with sharpened details and hairline finesse to perform especially well in prominent, print-like settings.

In the sample text, the strong vertical stress and thin connecting strokes create a lively texture: headlines look commanding, while dense settings can feel sparkling and high-pressure due to the extreme contrast. Numerals follow the same thick–thin logic and appear designed to stand out in display contexts.
