A heavy, display-oriented slab serif with broad proportions and pronounced contrast created by carved horizontal notches through the midsections of many letters. Stems and slabs are chunky and mostly straight-sided, while bowls and counters are rounded and generous, keeping the forms readable despite the internal cutaways. Serifs are bold and blocky, often with slightly flared, decorative terminals that give some glyphs a Tuscan-like flavor. The repeated midline “split” motif is consistent across uppercase, lowercase, and figures, producing a strong striped rhythm in text and a distinctive silhouette in individual capitals.

Best suited to headlines and short, high-impact settings such as posters, event graphics, signage, and bold brand marks. It can work well on packaging or labels where a retro display voice is desired, especially at medium-to-large sizes where the internal split details remain crisp and intentional.

The overall tone feels theatrical and vintage, like showcard lettering or turn-of-the-century wood type adapted into a cutout/stencil effect. The midline splits add a mischievous, trick-lettering character that reads as playful and attention-seeking rather than formal. It suggests signage, spectacle, and novelty, with a bold presence that stays friendly due to the rounded inner shapes.

The design appears intended as a decorative slab serif that fuses wood-type heft with a systematic midline cut, creating a memorable, high-contrast texture in both single words and blocks of display text. The consistent cutaway motif reads as a built-in graphic device, aimed at distinctive titling rather than quiet body copy.

The alphabet shows noticeable per-glyph width differences and a lively mix of straight and curved construction. The numerals and lowercase follow the same split-bar logic, which creates a strong horizontal banding when set in longer lines; generous spacing and larger sizes help the internal cutouts stay clear.
