A slanted serif with a lively, hand-inked texture and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Strokes show irregular edges and blot-like swellings that mimic letterpress wear or dry-brush ink, giving counters and terminals a slightly ragged silhouette. Serifs are bracketed and organic rather than sharply geometric, and the overall rhythm is energetic, with noticeable glyph-to-glyph width variation and slightly uneven stroke endings. The lowercase appears compact with a relatively low x-height and long, tapering ascenders/descenders, while the capitals feel sturdy and sculpted, keeping strong presence even at smaller sizes.

Best suited to display and short-to-medium passages where its textured character can be appreciated: book covers, poster headlines, pull quotes, editorial openers, and heritage-style packaging. It can work in larger text settings when a deliberately aged, ink-on-paper feel is desired, but the rough edges and strong modulation will be most effective at generous sizes.

The font conveys an antique, storybook tone—part literary, part rustic—like inked headings from an old broadside or worn print ephemera. Its texture adds drama and grit, suggesting authenticity and craft rather than modern polish.

The design appears intended to emulate historic, calligraphy-influenced serif printing with deliberate wear and ink texture, combining an old-style foundation with a dramatic, distressed surface. It aims to deliver a bold, atmospheric voice that feels crafted and timeworn rather than mechanically perfect.

The texture is consistent across letters and numerals, creating a cohesive “printed” color on the page that reads darker in massed text. Spacing appears intentionally a bit irregular to preserve a natural, handmade flow, and the slant reinforces a calligraphic, forward-moving cadence.
