A crisp serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a distinctly sculpted, flared treatment where stems broaden into the terminals. Serifs are bracketed and wedge-like rather than slabby, giving capitals a sharp, engraved silhouette while maintaining smooth joins. Curves show a clear vertical stress (notably in O/Q), and the overall rhythm is steady and text-oriented, with moderate proportions and clear counters. Numerals match the letterforms’ contrast and flare, with open shapes and elegant finishing strokes that read cleanly in running text.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as book interiors, magazine features, and long-form reading where contrast and serif structure help guide the eye. It also performs convincingly in titles, pull quotes, and brand work that needs a classic, premium tone—especially for cultural, academic, or heritage-leaning applications.

The tone is traditional and editorial, combining a bookish, literary presence with a slightly monumental, engraved flavor. The flared endings add a touch of ceremony and craft, lending the face a refined, authoritative voice without feeling decorative or overly ornate.

The design appears aimed at delivering a classic serif voice with added distinction through flared, sculptural terminals—bridging text readability with a subtle display character. It prioritizes elegant contrast, controlled spacing, and an engraved-like finish to convey polish and authority in both paragraphs and headings.

Lowercase forms keep a controlled, readable texture, while select details—such as the flared tops on verticals and the tapered finishing strokes on bowls and diagonals—add visual interest at display sizes. The overall impression is consistent and carefully drawn, balancing sharpness with gentle bracketing so paragraphs look composed rather than spiky.
