A classic serif with bracketed, flared terminals and a distinctly vertical, bookish build. Strokes show noticeable contrast, with sturdy main stems and finer connecting strokes, while serifs taper outward rather than forming blunt slabs. Uppercase forms are broad and steady, with generous interior space in letters like C, O, and G; the G includes a clear horizontal bar and the Q has a crisp, short tail. The lowercase is compact and readable, with a two-storey a, a single-storey g, a slightly angled crossbar on e, and a long, slender f with a modest cross-stroke. Numerals are traditional and proportional, with a curved 2 and 3, a strong open 4, and an 8 built from balanced bowls.

Well-suited to long-form reading such as books, essays, and magazine articles where a familiar serif texture supports comfortable scanning. It also works effectively for headlines, pull quotes, and institutional or heritage branding that benefits from a composed, print-forward character.

The overall tone feels traditional and cultivated, evoking printed literature and institutional communication. Its crisp serifs and measured contrast lend an authoritative, editorial voice without becoming ornate or mannered.

The font appears designed to provide a dependable, classical serif voice with subtly flared finishing details for added refinement. Its proportions and restrained personality suggest an emphasis on versatile, text-first typography that can also scale up confidently for display.

The design maintains consistent rhythm and spacing across the alphabet, with sturdy verticals and neatly controlled curves. Terminals and serifs tend toward sharp, tapered finishes that keep the texture crisp in text while still offering some warmth through subtle bracketing.
