A condensed serif with lightly roughened outlines that suggest worn type, dry ink, or imperfect printing. Strokes keep a mostly consistent rhythm but show subtle wobble and uneven edges, with moderate thick–thin shifts and occasional tapered terminals. Serifs are compact and somewhat bracketed, and curves (notably in C, G, S, and O) retain a human, slightly irregular roundness rather than geometric precision. Overall spacing is tight and the letterforms are compact, producing a dense, vertical texture that reads clearly while maintaining a tactile, distressed surface.

It works well for display and short-to-medium text where a crafted, vintage texture is desirable—such as posters, book covers, product packaging, labels, menus, and editorial pull quotes. In larger sizes the distressed edges become a key stylistic asset; at smaller sizes it still holds together, but the texture is best appreciated when given room to print.

The font conveys a nostalgic, handmade tone—part old print shop, part field-notes practicality. Its roughened finish adds grit and character without becoming chaotic, giving text a lived-in, authentic feel suited to storytelling and place-based themes.

The design appears intended to deliver a dependable, readable serif voice while introducing a deliberately weathered surface for character. It balances familiar proportions with controlled irregularity, aiming for an authentic printed look rather than a pristine, modern finish.

Uppercase forms feel sturdy and poster-ready, while the lowercase introduces more personality through softer curves and a distinctly textured stem treatment. Numerals follow the same distressed logic with stable proportions and a slightly irregular baseline presence that reinforces the analog aesthetic.
