A dense blackletter with tightly packed verticals, broken curves, and pronounced angular joins. Strokes alternate between heavy stems and sharply cut interior counters, producing a chiseled, faceted silhouette with pointed terminals and wedge-like serifs. The forms keep a strong vertical rhythm, while bowls and diagonals are constructed from segmented, blade-like strokes rather than smooth arcs. Lowercase shows a compact build with a diamond-shaped i/j dot, and the numerals follow the same fractured, high-impact construction for consistent color in display settings.

Best suited for short, prominent text such as posters, mastheads, branding marks, and product labels where a historic or gothic atmosphere is desired. It can work for titles and pull quotes in editorial contexts, but its dense texture and tight apertures make it less appropriate for long passages at small sizes.

The tone is traditional and authoritative, evoking medieval manuscript lettering and later Gothic revival printing. Its dark texture and sharp geometry feel ceremonial and commanding, with a hint of old-world craft and pageantry.

The font appears designed to deliver a classic blackletter presence with strong vertical rhythm and a bold, carved look, prioritizing impact and period character over neutrality. Its consistent angular detailing suggests an intention to mimic traditional pen or broad-nib construction while remaining visually uniform in modern display typography.

Across both the glyph grid and the text sample, the design maintains a consistent ‘broken’ construction and strong internal black/white patterning, which reads as a continuous, textured band at line level. The spiky terminals and narrow apertures favor large sizes where the interior detailing and counters can stay distinct.
