A calligraphic serif with lively, irregular contours and pronounced stroke modulation. Serifs read as sharp, wedge-like flicks rather than rigid brackets, and many terminals finish in tapered, slightly hooked strokes that suggest a broad-nib pen. The overall rhythm is uneven in an intentional, organic way—bowls and stems vary subtly in thickness and curvature—while maintaining coherent proportions across the alphabet. Counters are moderately open, ascenders are prominent, and the lowercase feels compact due to the relatively small x-height, giving the face a gently vertical, classic stance.

Well-suited to display and short-to-medium text where character is desirable: book and chapter titles, magazine or editorial headers, pull quotes, cultural event posters, and artisanal packaging. It can also work for body text in generous sizes with comfortable leading, especially in literary or historical contexts where a textured, human feel is an asset.

The tone is warm and antique, evoking printed ephemera, storybooks, and hand-inked lettering. Its slight roughness and energetic terminals add a human, crafted character that can feel playful or mildly gothic depending on setting and spacing. Overall it communicates tradition with a touch of eccentric charm rather than modern neutrality.

The design appears intended to translate old-style, humanist proportions through a deliberately hand-rendered lens—keeping classic serif structure while introducing calligraphic flare and subtle irregularity. It aims to deliver a distinctive, period-leaning voice that feels printed and tactile rather than mechanically precise.

The numerals follow the same drawn, slightly uneven logic as the letters, with angled stress and tapered ends. In text, the face forms a dark, textured color with noticeable movement along the baseline, which adds character but can become visually busy at very small sizes or in long dense passages.
