A calligraphically inflected serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and gently bracketed, often wedge-like serifs. Strokes show a slightly “drawn” quality: terminals swell and taper, joins are soft, and curves carry subtle asymmetries that keep the texture lively. Uppercase proportions feel bookish and dignified with open counters, while the lowercase is more animated, with angled entry strokes, varied terminal shapes, and a clear old-style rhythm. Numerals follow the same uneven, pen-led contrast, reading as traditional and text-friendly rather than strictly geometric.

Works well for book typography and long-form editorial where a classic serif voice is desired, and it also carries nicely into chapter titles and display sizes thanks to its lively contrast. It can add a traditional, crafted tone to invitations, menus, and cultural materials where warmth and heritage are appropriate.

The overall tone is literary and traditional, suggesting craft and historical reference without becoming ornate. Its warm movement and slightly irregular ink-trace feeling lend it an approachable, human presence suited to narrative and editorial voices.

The design appears intended to evoke an old-style, humanist reading experience with visible calligraphic logic—prioritizing warmth, rhythm, and traditional proportions while maintaining enough contrast to feel crisp in print-oriented settings.

In paragraph settings the texture is dark but articulate, with contrast creating sparkle while the soft bracketing prevents brittleness. The italic-like flavor in the lowercase (even in the upright) adds character, making it particularly expressive in mixed-case words and short phrases.
