A high-contrast serif with sharp hairlines, sturdier vertical stems, and bracketed serifs that taper cleanly into the strokes. The proportions skew generous in width, giving capitals and figures a stately, open stance and creating airy, readable counters. Curves show a traditional, slightly calligraphic modulation, with crisp terminals and strong thick–thin transitions that are especially evident in letters like C, S, O, and the numerals. Overall spacing appears comfortable and even, supporting a steady text rhythm while still feeling distinctly display-leaning due to the contrast.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as magazine headlines, section openers, pull quotes, and book or journal titling where contrast and refinement are assets. It can also work for formal printed materials like invitations or programs, especially when set with enough size and leading to let the hairlines breathe.

The tone is formal and cultivated, with a classic book-and-magazine sensibility. Its strong contrast and refined detailing communicate authority and polish, lending a composed, traditional voice rather than a casual one.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, literature-forward serif voice with heightened elegance through pronounced stroke modulation and carefully finished serifs. It prioritizes a composed reading rhythm and a premium, print-oriented look that bridges text and display use.

The italics are not shown; the sample demonstrates the roman in extended text where the thin horizontals and serifs add elegance but may ask for adequate size or print quality to avoid hairline loss. Numerals follow the same contrast logic as the letters, with clean, recognizable shapes suited to editorial contexts.
