A serif text face with gently flared stroke endings and softly bracketed serifs that read more calligraphic than mechanical. Strokes are even and calm, with subtle modulation and rounded joins that keep the texture smooth in paragraphs. Counters are generous and apertures stay open, while terminals often taper or swell slightly, lending a crafted, ink-on-paper feel. The lowercase shows a two-storey “a” and “g,” a modest x-height, and a steady rhythm suited to continuous reading; numerals appear oldstyle with varying heights and a flowing baseline.

Well suited to book interiors, long-form editorial layouts, and magazine typography where a calm, readable serif is needed. It also works effectively for cultured branding, museum or publishing identities, and headline settings that benefit from a traditional yet not overly ornate serif voice.

The overall tone is bookish and composed, with a quiet elegance rather than a sharp, high-contrast luxury feel. Its flared details add warmth and a slightly historical, humanist character, making the voice feel cultured and approachable. In longer text it projects confidence and clarity without drawing attention to itself.

The design appears aimed at delivering a readable, contemporary text serif with a humanist, flared-serif signature—balancing classical cues with a clean, even texture for modern editorial use.

Capitals are broad and stately with restrained, classical proportions; the “Q” has a distinctive curved tail that contributes to a traditional display flavor in headings. Curves are smoothly drawn and spacing appears comfortable, producing an even gray value across lines. The ampersand is compact and sturdy, aligning with the font’s readable, text-forward personality.
