A classic serif with crisp, bracketed serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation. The letterforms show oldstyle influences in the lowercase, with a two-storey “a” and “g,” softly tapered terminals, and gently curved joins that suggest a calligraphic axis rather than purely mechanical construction. Capitals are sturdy and moderately wide with sharp, well-defined serifs and balanced proportions; curves (C, G, O, Q) are smooth and controlled, and the numerals align comfortably with the text rhythm. Overall spacing feels even and readable, with clear counters and a steady, book-oriented texture in paragraph settings.

Well-suited to long-form reading such as books, essays, and editorial pages where a familiar serif texture and strong character recognition are important. It can also serve confidently in headlines, pull quotes, and formal communications that benefit from a traditional, authoritative voice.

The font conveys a traditional, literary tone—confident and composed without feeling ornate. Its contrast and sharp finishing details add a sense of seriousness and authority, lending the text a polished, editorial character.

The design appears intended as a dependable, conventional text serif with classic proportions and a refined, calligraphic contrast profile—aiming for readability and credibility while retaining a touch of historical elegance.

Diagonal strokes (notably in V, W, Y, and K) show lively tapering that reinforces the calligraphic impression, while horizontal serifs remain crisp to preserve clarity. The overall color on the page is slightly dynamic due to contrast, but maintains a stable, conventional reading rhythm.
