A high-contrast serif with clearly bracketed, wedge-like serifs and a gently calligraphic stroke modulation. Curves are smooth and generously rounded, while terminals often taper into subtle points, giving the letterforms a slightly sharp, engraved finish without feeling rigid. Uppercase proportions read stately and balanced, with broad bowls (C, O, Q) and crisp horizontals, while the lowercase shows a traditional text rhythm with a two-storey a, open counters, and a compact, readable texture. Numerals follow the same contrast and serif treatment, with elegant, slightly old-style shaping.

Well-suited for long-form reading contexts such as book interiors and editorial layouts where a traditional serif texture is desired. It also performs nicely for headings, pull quotes, and cultural or academic branding that benefits from a refined, classic voice.

The overall tone feels classic and literary, with a warm, human touch that suggests traditional book typography. Its sharp tapers and strong contrast add refinement and a formal voice, making it feel authoritative without becoming overly austere.

The design appears intended to evoke established old-style book serifs: readable, warm proportions combined with crisp contrast and disciplined detailing. It aims to balance timeless text utility with enough personality for editorial and title setting.

Spacing and rhythm in the sample text produce a comfortable, familiar paragraph color, while the pronounced contrast and pointed joins keep the shapes lively at display sizes. The Q’s sweeping tail and the varied terminal treatments add character that reads as editorial rather than purely neutral.
