This serif typeface shows pronounced thick–thin modulation with sharp, well-defined hairlines and sturdy vertical stems. Serifs are bracketed and fairly compact, giving a crisp, controlled finish without the blockiness of slabs. Proportions are on the condensed side, with a short x-height and relatively tall ascenders, producing a vertical, text-oriented rhythm. Curves are smooth and slightly calligraphic in construction, and the lowercase includes a two-storey a and g, with oldstyle-style numerals that sit comfortably in running text.

Well suited to long-form reading environments such as books, essays, and magazine articles where a compact line length and strong typographic color are beneficial. It can also work effectively for pull quotes, section heads, and formal captions that benefit from a classic serif voice.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, conveying a composed, authoritative voice with a refined, slightly historic flavor. Its narrow, high-contrast rhythm feels at home in literary and editorial settings where a classic, formal presence is desired.

The design appears intended as a conventional, text-first serif that prioritizes elegant contrast, compact economy of space, and a familiar literary texture. Its detailing suggests an aim for refined readability and a traditional, established character in continuous setting.

Capital forms are clean and upright with restrained ornament, while the italic is not shown; the roman exhibits clear vertical stress and a relatively tight internal spacing feel. Numerals appear text-friendly, with varying heights that blend into lowercase texture rather than dominating it.
