A high-contrast serif with sharply tapered joins and wedge-like, flared terminals that read as chiseled rather than slabbed. Stems are sturdy and vertical, while hairlines stay thin and crisp, creating a strong thick–thin rhythm across both uppercase and lowercase. The serifs are bracketed and angular, with pointed entry strokes and triangulated feet that give counters and bowls a slightly sculpted, faceted feel. Lowercase forms show compact, traditional proportions with a single-storey ‘g’ and a narrow, upright ‘f’, while figures are lining and similarly contrasty, with pronounced stress and pointed finishing strokes.

Best suited to headlines, subheads, and prominent editorial typography where contrast and sculpted terminals can be appreciated. It can also work for book covers, cultural posters, and brand marks that want a traditional serif voice with extra bite; for long-form body copy it will likely be most comfortable at moderate-to-large sizes with generous spacing.

The tone is assertive and refined, balancing classic bookish authority with a slightly theatrical, display-forward edge. Its sharp terminals and dramatic contrast give it a ceremonious, high-impact presence that feels suited to premium and cultural contexts rather than casual UI typography.

The design appears intended to modernize a traditional serif model by emphasizing flared, wedge-like endings and strong contrast for impact. It aims to deliver a confident, premium voice that reads as classic at a glance while differentiating itself through sharper, more faceted stroke finishes.

In text, the heavy verticals and crisp hairlines create a pronounced rhythm and a dense color, especially at larger sizes. The wedge terminals and angled stroke endings add motion and sharpness to word shapes, making headlines feel energetic while still rooted in traditional serif structure.
