This typeface combines strong vertical stress with sharply tapered hairlines and pronounced flare at stroke terminals, creating a carved, sculptural silhouette. Serifs are bracketed and wedge-like, with stems that subtly widen as they approach the ends, producing a rhythmic, calligraphic expansion rather than flat slabs. Counters are relatively tight and the joins are sturdy, giving the letters a compact, weight-forward color; diagonals and curves show crisp transitions that emphasize contrast. The lowercase leans toward traditional book proportions with a clearly defined two-storey a and g, a sturdy f with a small head, and a compact, slightly pinched s, while numerals are similarly weighty and display-oriented.

Best suited to headlines, decks, and pull quotes where its contrast and flared terminals can be appreciated at larger sizes. It also fits magazine and book-cover typography, cultural or literary branding, and formal announcements where a classic serif voice with extra presence is desired.

The overall tone is authoritative and editorial, with a refined, old-world seriousness that still feels energetic due to the flared endings and brisk contrast. It reads as confident and slightly theatrical—more headline than body—evoking print traditions, formal publishing, and heritage branding.

The design appears intended to merge traditional serif proportions with a more expressive, flared stroke finishing, delivering a strong typographic color and a recognizable, heritage-leaning personality for display settings.

In text, the heavy verticals and tight apertures create a dark, decisive texture, while the flared terminals add sparkle at larger sizes. The design’s character is most evident in curved letters (C, G, S, O) where the swelling terminals and sharp hairlines create a distinctive cadence across words.
