A refined italic serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp hairline serifs. The letterforms show a calligraphic, slightly variable rhythm, with wedge-like terminals and bracketed serifs that taper cleanly into stems. Lowercase forms lean into a traditional italic structure with flowing joins, open counters, and a gently animated baseline; ascenders are relatively tall and numerals appear oldstyle, blending smoothly with text. Overall spacing feels balanced for reading, with a soft, bookish texture rather than a rigid, display-only stiffness.

Works especially well for long-form italics in books and editorial layouts, including emphasis, titles, and pull quotes. It can also support upscale invitations, packaging, and brand materials where a classic, cultivated italic voice is desired, particularly at medium to large text sizes.

The tone is classical and literary, conveying polish and tradition. Its lively italic movement adds a sense of sophistication and emphasis, suitable for editorial voice, quotations, and refined branding that wants a timeless feel.

The design appears intended as a traditional text companion italic: expressive enough to provide contrast and hierarchy, but disciplined in proportion and spacing to remain readable in continuous setting. Its oldstyle-feeling figures and calligraphic detailing suggest a focus on seamless integration within book and editorial typography.

The italic angle is consistent and the contrast is handled with fine hairlines, giving the face a delicate sparkle in larger sizes. Uppercase forms remain stately and controlled, while the lowercase shows more personality through curved entries, tapered strokes, and subtly swashed terminals.
