A refined italic serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a consistent rightward slant. The serifs are tapered and bracketed, often reading as wedge-like terminals rather than flat slabs, and the strokes show a gently calligraphic sweep. Uppercase forms feel stately and open, while the lowercase leans more cursive in construction, with flowing joins, narrow counters, and delicate entry/exit strokes. Figures follow the same contrast and inclination, giving numerals a bookish, transitional rhythm rather than a rigid, geometric texture.

Well-suited to book and long-form editorial settings where an italic is needed for emphasis, quotations, or secondary hierarchy. It can also serve for elegant headings, pull quotes, and formal printed materials that benefit from a classical italic voice without excessive ornament.

The overall tone is literary and traditional, with an elegant, slightly dramatic flourish typical of italic text meant to add emphasis without becoming decorative. It suggests editorial polish and a classical sensibility, while the warmth in the curves keeps it from feeling austere.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional, calligraphy-informed italic with clear serif structure and expressive contrast, balancing readability in text with a cultivated, editorial presence.

In running text the texture alternates between crisp hairlines and darker vertical stress, creating a lively rhythm. The italic structure is clearly integral to the design (not merely a slanted roman), and the capitals provide strong anchoring shapes for headings or initial emphasis.
