A high-contrast serif with crisp, sharply tapered strokes and bracketed wedge-like serifs that give the forms a cut-stone clarity. Round letters show tight, controlled curves with a slightly condensed internal rhythm, while vertical stems feel steady and prominent against very fine hairlines. The lowercase is compact and disciplined, with two-storey a and g, a narrow, pointed w, and a lightly curved t with a small, clean terminal; numerals follow the same contrast-driven logic with elegant, thin joins and pronounced thick–thin transitions.

Performs best in headlines, deck copy, pull quotes, and editorial layouts where the contrast and pointed detailing can show clearly. It also suits book covers and refined branding applications that benefit from a classic, authoritative serif voice, especially in larger sizes or well-printed contexts.

The overall tone is formal and editorial, projecting refinement and seriousness rather than friendliness. Its sharp serifs and sparkling hairlines create a sense of luxury and tradition, suited to institutions, literature, and high-end publishing.

The design appears intended to deliver a contemporary take on a classic book serif: highly structured forms, strong vertical emphasis, and sharp, elegant detailing that elevates typography for publishing and brand-led display use.

At larger sizes the hairlines and tapered terminals add sparkle and sophistication, while the dense letterforms and strong verticals help maintain a confident texture. The design reads as more display-leaning than purely utilitarian, especially in bold headlines or title settings where the contrast can be appreciated.
