A serif text face with a lightly inked, distressed surface and noticeably irregular outlines that mimic worn printing or hand-inked letterforms. Strokes show high contrast with thin hairlines and sturdier stems, while terminals and serifs appear slightly blunted or chipped, contributing to a dry, textured edge. Proportions are moderately narrow to average with compact counters and a steady, upright stance; spacing reads even enough for setting text despite the organic variability. Numerals and capitals follow a traditional, bookish construction, while the lowercase keeps a straightforward, readable skeleton with subtle wobble and ink spread in joins and curves.

Well-suited to titles, pull quotes, packaging, and brand marks that want an aged or hand-printed look. It can also work for short-to-medium text in editorial or storybook-style layouts where a tactile, historic mood is desired, especially when paired with restrained layout and ample leading.

The overall tone feels vintage and handmade, like a well-used book, an old label, or a print pulled from imperfect type. The distressed texture adds warmth and character, giving the font a slightly quirky, artisanal personality rather than a polished editorial finish.

Designed to combine classic serif readability with an intentionally weathered, ink-on-paper texture, offering an authentic, imperfect voice for themed and character-driven typography.

The distressing is consistent across glyphs, with small nicks and rough patches that remain legible at text sizes but become more expressive when enlarged. Curves (notably in round letters and numerals) show uneven inking that helps sell a printed-from-plate feel.
