A heavy, block-forward slab serif with broad proportions, crisp terminals, and strongly bracketed slabs that read as carved-on rather than delicate. Strokes show clear contrast for a display slab, with thick verticals and slightly lighter joins that keep counters open despite the mass. Corners are generally squared with subtle softening/bracketing, and several joins show small ink-trap-like notches that help prevent dark clumping at the sizes shown. Lowercase forms are robust and compact, with short ascenders/descenders relative to the tall lowercase body, producing a dense, even texture in paragraphs. Numerals follow the same sturdy, squared-off logic and sit comfortably alongside capitals.

Best suited to high-impact display settings such as headlines, posters, retail signage, packaging, and bold brand marks. It also works well for short subheads, callouts, and labels where a sturdy slab voice is desired and the dense texture can be managed with spacing.

The tone is confident and loud, with a workmanlike, poster-ready presence. Its slab structure and dense rhythm evoke classic printed ephemera—headlines, labels, and collegiate or industrial signage—while the controlled contrast keeps it from feeling purely monoline. Overall it feels bold, straightforward, and slightly nostalgic.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum impact and legibility at display sizes through big counters, confident slab serifs, and a compact, rhythmic lowercase. Subtle notches at joins and bracketed slabs suggest an aim to maintain clarity in heavy text while preserving a classic, rugged slab-serif character.

Spacing appears intentionally tight in running text, creating a strong typographic “wall” that rewards generous line spacing. The heavy weight and squared details can build dark areas quickly, so it benefits from clean backgrounds and moderate tracking when used in longer lines.
