A warm, old-style serif with gently bracketed, wedge-like serifs and subtly flared stroke endings that suggest a calligraphic tool. Strokes show moderate modulation with rounded joins and slightly irregular, hand-cut terminals, giving the outlines a lively, inked texture rather than rigid geometry. Proportions lean traditional with relatively small counters and compact lowercase, while capitals feel sturdy and slightly condensed in their inner spaces. Descenders are noticeable (especially in g, j, p, q, y), and the overall rhythm alternates between firm verticals and softly tapered horizontals for a classic text color.

Well-suited to long-form reading in books, essays, and editorial layouts where a warm, traditional serif is desired. It also works effectively for literary or heritage branding, product packaging with a crafted feel, and event materials such as invitations or programs where a classic, human voice is important.

The tone is literary and archival, evoking printed ephemera, classic book typography, and a subtly handmade craft sensibility. It feels approachable and human, with just enough roughness to read as authentic rather than decorative. The result is an old-world voice that can turn contemporary copy into something more storied and characterful.

The design appears intended to translate old-style, calligraphy-influenced forms into a practical serif with a distinctive, slightly handmade surface. It aims for a comfortable reading rhythm while retaining expressive terminals and a recognizable, heritage-leaning personality.

Several shapes emphasize personality: the uppercase Q carries a long, sweeping tail; the lowercase g appears single-storey with a prominent ear; and numerals have a slightly calligraphic, uneven energy that matches the letters. Spacing in the sample text reads intentionally loose and airy, helping the textured details stay legible at display and comfortable text sizes.
