This serif typeface shows bracketed serifs, tapered terminals, and a distinctly calligraphic modulation that produces crisp thick–thin contrast without feeling rigid. Capitals are stately and open, with generous interior counters (notably in C, O, and Q) and slightly flared strokes that keep the texture lively. Lowercase forms read fluid and traditional, with a two-storey a, a double-storey g, and softly angled joins that create an even rhythm in text. Numerals appear proportional and old-style in feel, with varied widths and curved detailing that harmonizes with the lowercase.

It is well suited to book and long-form editorial settings where a traditional serif texture and comfortable rhythm are desired. The capitals have enough presence for literary titles, headings, and pull quotes, while the detailed lowercase and proportional figures support refined layouts such as magazines, programs, and brand communications that aim for a classic tone.

The overall tone is classical and bookish, conveying a cultivated, human presence rather than a purely mechanical finish. Its contrast and detailing suggest a sense of refinement suited to editorial typography, while the warm proportions keep it approachable for longer reading.

The design appears intended to balance old-style warmth with a clean, high-contrast finish, producing a familiar reading experience with a polished, contemporary sharpness. Its consistent modulation and carefully shaped serifs suggest an emphasis on readability and typographic tradition in both display and text contexts.

Stroke endings often finish with subtle flicks and curves, giving letters like e, c, and s a gentle forward motion. The family of forms stays consistent across uppercase and lowercase, and the punctuation and ampersand in the sample text maintain the same crisp, traditional serif voice.
