A high-contrast serif with a distinctly vertical, upright stance and sharp, tapered hairlines against broad main stems. Serifs are refined and bracketed, with crisp finishing and pointed wedges on diagonals that give many letters a chiseled, engraved feel. Curves are smooth and controlled, counters tend toward the compact side, and joins can become very fine where hairlines meet heavy strokes, especially in letters like a, g, and s. The overall rhythm alternates thick-and-thin strongly, producing a polished texture that reads most clearly at larger sizes.

Well-suited to headlines, pull quotes, and editorial typography where contrast and refinement are an asset. It can also support book covers and elevated branding systems, particularly when set with generous spacing and used at sizes that preserve the delicate hairlines.

The font conveys a composed, high-end tone—poised, literary, and a bit theatrical due to its dramatic contrast. It suggests tradition and authority while maintaining a fashionable, display-ready sharpness.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic, high-contrast text-serif voice with strong display presence—combining traditional proportions and bracketed serifs with sharpened details that heighten elegance and impact.

Uppercase forms feel stately and classical, while the lowercase includes distinctive, somewhat calligraphic details (notably in the two-storey g and the ear/terminals) that add personality without becoming decorative. Numerals follow the same contrast and refinement, with elegant curves and hairline entry/exit strokes that emphasize a premium, print-oriented character.
