A classic serif with bracketed serifs and gently tapered strokes that show subtle, calligraphic modulation. The capitals are well-proportioned and slightly wide, with distinctive wedge-like terminals on letters such as C, E, and S, and a traditional, open-bowled G. Lowercase forms are compact and readable, with rounded counters, softly cupped serifs, and an oldstyle feel; the two-storey a and the e with a modest diagonal crossbar reinforce the text-oriented construction. Numerals appear oldstyle in character, with varied heights and curved, slightly asymmetric shaping that matches the organic rhythm of the letters.

Well-suited to book typography, editorial layouts, and other longform reading contexts where a conventional serif texture is desired. It also works for academic materials, institutional communications, and headings that benefit from a traditional, authoritative tone without excessive contrast.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, conveying authority and calm rather than display-driven personality. Its warm, slightly hand-informed detailing gives it a familiar, editorial voice suited to sustained reading while still feeling formal and considered.

The design appears intended as a dependable, conventional text serif with gentle historical cues—prioritizing readability, steady paragraph color, and familiar letterforms over novelty. Its detailing suggests an aim to feel established and literary while remaining versatile for everyday publishing needs.

Spacing and rhythm read even in the sample text, with clear word shapes and stable verticals that keep paragraphs orderly. The serifs and terminals are more sculpted than purely mechanical, adding a mild historical flavor without becoming ornate.
