An upright serif with noticeably eroded, irregular contours that mimic worn letterpress or degraded ink on paper. The underlying skeleton reads as a classic, moderately proportioned serif with bracket-like joins and sturdy stems, but every edge is broken by jagged bite marks and uneven ink gain/loss. Counters stay mostly open and legible, while terminals and serifs appear chipped and inconsistent, creating a lively, noisy texture across words. Overall spacing feels fairly standard, with a slightly uneven rhythm caused by the distressed outlines rather than by slant or exaggerated proportions.

Works best for headlines and short text where the distressed texture can be appreciated—such as posters, book covers, event flyers, album artwork, and moody editorial headers. It can also serve as a thematic accent in packaging or branding when an intentionally worn, analog print feel is desired.

The font conveys a gritty, aged atmosphere—suggesting something printed, handled, and battered over time. Its roughened silhouette adds tension and drama, making it feel darker and more rebellious than a clean book serif while still remaining readable at display sizes.

The design appears intended to deliver the familiarity and readability of a traditional serif while adding a strong distressed overlay for atmosphere. It aims to evoke aged printing and rough reproduction, providing instant character for themed display typography without abandoning conventional letter structure.

Distress is applied consistently across capitals, lowercase, and numerals, so the texture holds together in lines of text. The effect is strong enough to be a defining feature; at small sizes the ragged detail may fill in or blur, while at larger sizes the broken edges become the main visual interest.
