A distressed serif with chiseled, irregular contours and frequent edge breakup that mimics worn ink or rough printing. The letterforms keep a traditional serif skeleton, but strokes swell and pinch unpredictably, with lumpy terminals and small voids that create a mottled texture. Proportions are compact and sturdy, with a relatively large x-height and tight internal counters that darken the overall color. Spacing reads slightly uneven, reinforcing the handmade/eroded impression while remaining legible at display sizes.

Best suited for short headlines and impactful display copy where texture is part of the message—such as horror and thriller titling, gritty posters, album artwork, game branding, and atmospheric book covers. It can also add character to logos or labels that benefit from a worn, vintage-printed feel, but the heavy distressing may reduce clarity in small body text.

The font projects a gritty, ominous tone—like aged signage, damaged typewriter impressions, or ink pulled from a battered letterpress plate. Its noisy silhouette adds tension and urgency, making text feel dramatic and timeworn rather than polished or contemporary.

The design appears intended to combine a familiar serif foundation with aggressive surface degradation, producing a convincingly aged, distressed print effect. The goal is to deliver immediate mood through texture while preserving enough structure for readable display typography.

Uppercase forms appear blocky and assertive, while lowercase retains a classical serif rhythm but with pronounced roughness on stems, bowls, and shoulders. Numerals follow the same distressed treatment and maintain strong presence, with texture that becomes more prominent as sizes increase.
