A tall, tightly set serif with bracketed serifs and slightly flared terminals that give the stems a subtly chiseled look. Stroke endings show a hand-inked irregularity—small kinks, soft notches, and uneven edges—while overall outlines remain disciplined and readable. The contrast is noticeable but not extreme, with sturdy verticals and thinner connecting strokes. Counters are compact, and the rhythm is narrow and vertical, with a gently varied, organic feel across glyphs rather than strict geometric repetition.

Well-suited to book covers, editorial headlines, and pull quotes where a compact, vertical texture helps fit more characters into a line without losing an old-style feel. It also works well for posters, packaging, and brand marks that want a historical or artisanal voice, especially in larger sizes where the inked details read as intentional texture.

The tone is antique and literary, with a hint of eccentricity from the distressed, ink-worn edges. It evokes nineteenth‑century print, apothecary labels, and classic book typography—serious enough for text, but characterful enough to feel atmospheric and slightly theatrical.

The design appears intended to blend old-style serif construction with a lightly distressed, hand-printed surface. Its narrow proportions prioritize density and vertical emphasis, while the textured terminals and uneven edges add period flavor and human presence for display and expressive editorial use.

Uppercase forms are slender and commanding, with a distinctive, elongated presence in letters like A, E, and T. Lowercase retains a traditional structure with relatively small bowls and a crisp, vertical texture; numerals are similarly narrow and high-contrast in silhouette, reinforcing the upright, columnar color on the page.
