A compact serif face with crisp, angular contours and a distinctly hand-cut finish. Strokes show moderate contrast with subtly uneven pressure, and terminals often end in small wedges or flared, bracketed serifs that give the letters a carved, ink-on-paper character. Curves are slightly faceted rather than fully round, and joins can be sharp, producing a lively, irregular rhythm without losing overall consistency. Numerals and lowercase keep the same chiseled, calligraphic logic, with a slightly restless baseline feel that reads intentional rather than sloppy.

Well suited to book covers, chapter heads, pull quotes, posters, and branding that aims for a vintage or artisanal impression. It also works for themed packaging, labels, invitations, or certificates where a traditional, crafted voice is desirable. In longer passages it creates a pronounced texture, so it’s best where atmosphere matters as much as plain readability.

The overall tone feels historical and bookish, with a hint of medieval or early-print atmosphere. It suggests tradition and craft—more scriptorium than corporate—making text feel narrative, ceremonial, and a little dramatic.

The letterforms appear designed to evoke early serif typography with visible calligraphic influence and a slightly rugged, cut-letter finish. The intention seems to balance historical flavor with practical legibility by keeping proportions disciplined while adding expressive terminals and faceted curves.

The design’s narrow proportions and angular detailing create strong texture in paragraphs, especially in mixed-case settings. Uppercase forms carry a display-like presence, while the lowercase maintains enough clarity for short text blocks, though the jagged terminals and faceting keep it from feeling purely neutral.
