A heavy, high-contrast serif with compact proportions and a tall lowercase that reads large for its point size. Stems finish in wedge-like, flared serifs and tapered terminals, with crisp triangular notches and small ink-trap-like cut-ins at joins that add sharpness and help counters stay open. The lowercase shows sturdy, rounded bowls and pronounced terminals (including ball-like endings on forms such as the “a”), while capitals are broad-shouldered with confident, sculpted curves. Numerals are similarly weighty and crisp, with strong vertical emphasis and angular finishing details.

Best suited to headlines, titling, and short text where weight and contrast can create impact—such as magazine covers, posters, brand marks, and packaging. In longer passages it will produce a bold, dark color, so it works most effectively when given generous size and line spacing.

The overall tone is commanding and traditional, with a dramatic, punchy presence that feels suited to bold statements. Its sharp notches and flared endings lend a slightly gothic or heraldic edge, while the high contrast keeps it polished and editorial rather than rustic.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum impact within a classic serif framework, combining traditional letter skeletons with flared, wedge-like finishing and sharp internal cut-ins to maintain clarity at heavy weights. It aims to balance authority and refinement for attention-grabbing display typography.

Spacing appears intentionally tight and dense in text, producing a dark, continuous texture that favors display sizes. The design’s consistent use of tapered wedges and cut-in joins creates a cohesive, chiseled rhythm across both roman capitals and the more rounded lowercase.
